What is Small Business Saturday?
It is a day dedicated to supporting local shops

Sarah's Small Business Saturday Shopping Story:

Jesse and I were too exhausted to check out PETSMART's Black Friday event, which was disappointing with all of the good sales they had going on! We have this huge stocking to fill up for them, so we decided to check out 2 local pet shops in Navarre.

We went to check out Pet Nation first and were both pleasantly surprised to see they were having such good sales today. We got two small bowls (they were $2.99/each) for the Chihuahuas and a medium-sized bowl (it was $3.99) for Tebow. Their medium-sized HeartThrobs are normally $12.99 but were marked down to $1.99 today!! We had to grab one since they were marked down so much. Jesse needed to get the gecko a box of Reptile Lunch, which usually lasts us a week or two. This was not on sale and costs $3.49 but you get 24-36 crickets and some food, so they don't die right away. Finally, we grabbed a 3 pack of Smokehouse Bacon Rolls for $3.99. We spent $19.44 total!

St. Francis' Pet Shop was the final shop we visited. We were able to get Humphrey the hamster a new cage. He loves burrowing under toilet paper and crawling through tubes, so the CritterTrail Burrowing Maze should be a blast for him! Normally, we see this cage in stores for at least $22.00, but at St. Francis' Pet Shop it was only $14.95; there was only one left after we grabbed ours. It even came with a free sample of nesting material and a coupon for when we buy a pack! I also grabbed their last bag of bedding
, since we were running low. 6.0compressed liters cost us $7.00. Although we spent $21.95 at St. Francis' Pet Shop.

Our grand total was $41.39 at both shops.
